Portable Speaker Lost
Scott Jackson reports that he left a portable speaker on Field 4 last Friday. It was not turned in. Did anyone recover it? If so, please contact Scott as he would like to get it back.
Kairos
How did I live this long without knowing this word? What a great word! Kairos is saying or doing exactly the right thing at exactly the right time. So Pete, the next time you have me scorekeeping and somebody hits a walk off homerun, you might expect to hear me use this great word. There are many great examples online of "Kairos moments" that I found quite interesting.
Can be used in speech or rhetoric too. Here is an example:
Nancy Astor: Sir, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea.
Winston Churchill: Madame, if you were my wife, I'd drink it.
