Big Opening Day
Other than the insane heat, it was a marvelous opening day. So good to see the D1 softball family again. The Raptors beat the Bengals 25-13. The significance of that game? Those 38 runs were the FEWEST scored in any game Wednesday. The bats were as hot as the weather. No rust to be found. Congrats also to the Wolverines (28 runs scored), Crusaders (24), Stars (26), Gunslingers (24) and Thunder (23) for getting their seasons started with a win. 21 different guys hit a total of 25 homeruns, led by Dave Sanders' 3 bombs. Tough day for the pitchers. We'll do it again next week. Looking forward to a great season in what looks to be a stacked league. Every win will be an accomplishment!
